Mixed Media Canvas Art – the completion! 2

Mixed Media Canvas Art part 1 & 2

Hello Kraafters!

WOW! What an afternoon this was! I certainly expected after last week’s Kraaft It LIVE! episode and discussion that no one would be back to watch the second part of this but people did show up and stayed for TWO WHOLE HOURS! if you missed it, you can watch it on the Video Treasure chest.

This was such a fun episode, it even came with a warning at the beginning:

I hope that this post with the close up photos will make up for the lousy camera issues I was having. Trust me, next week will be a breeze since the new camera will be in place…no more setting up while we are live!

Anyway, if you are looking for the complete supply list, that is on another blog post, Mixed Media Canvas art part 1 & 2. This post is all about the photos!

I have also included the scripture I created and then printed on tissue paper and glued on with soft matte gel. You are welcome to print it out and use it if you wish.

BE SURE TO click on the images to make them larger.

we started with greens and blues  what fun the textures bring

oh boy that crackle!  there is always an ugly stage

The under layers really can be fun  At the end of the show

the verse printed on tissue and glued on  there are layers of texture below the paint

Finnabair mica powders bring out the texture of the flowers  see, the texture shines through

Untitled  The Cross in Spring as it sat

The final picture shows where it sat most of the day, however – after looking at it for a while I had to make a few adjustments and here is the final piece.

The Cross in Spring

If you are interested, prints are available on Society6.

About Heather Kraafter

First and foremost, I am a child of the One True King! I am blessed to be married to my best friend and was privileged to stay home and raise my boys. I began the Kraaft Shaak in 2010 as a way to experiment with crafting mediums and to teach others what I have learned and have come to enjoy it as my creative passion. Taking the 'show on the road' is my latest passion and each day is one step closer to that dream. Thanks for being a part of that journey too!

I had a grandson 1 week ago today. He is in the NICU. He was 1 1/2 months early and weighed 3 lbs and 12 ozs. Today he is up to 3 lbs and 13 ozs. As normal he dropped weight but is back up with an oz more! I have been staying at the hospital every day with his Mom. So glad I can watch every thing that is going on at night. ((((hugs)))
